Our Origin
Our story begins with two cultures bound by coffee. As a Yemeni-American and Somali-American duo, coffee has always been woven into the fabric of our lives. Yemen is known as the birthplace of coffee, where the first beans were brewed centuries ago. Somalia’s coffee culture, influenced by both its rich heritage and Italian traditions, adds another layer to our appreciation of this incredible drink. These cultural influences sparked our love for coffee, but it was the stories of farmers struggling to make ends meet that fueled our desire to start Causffee.

Our Process
At Causffee, we are a roastery with a mission. We source our beans from small-scale, sustainable farms across the world, choosing farmers who are working hard to combat the effects of climate change. From seed to sip, we are involved in every step of the process. We roast our coffee in-house to ensure the highest quality and freshest flavors, while keeping sustainability at the core of everything we do. Our customers don’t just get a bag of coffee; they get to experience the journey of the bean, from the farm to their cup, knowing their purchase is making a difference.

Our Inspirations
Our biggest inspiration comes from the farmers who pour their hearts into growing coffee. We are constantly inspired by their resilience in the face of adversity, whether it's battling the effects of global warming, fluctuating market prices, or the challenges of obtaining organic certifications. That’s why we’ve built Causffee around the idea of giving back—supporting small farmers with fair wages, sustainable farming practices, and donations that help them plant more coffee trees and work towards organic certification. Through our "Adopt a Coffee Tree" initiative, customers can even take part in helping farmers grow their business while saving the environment.
